First dhole pack of the season sighted this morning, eleven strong, working the lantana edge. The backwaters are filling three weeks early, elephant families already moving toward the river line.

Two crossings at Lookout Hill before nine. The herds are stacking on the north bank, tomorrow the light and the numbers should both be right.
